Michael is the Finance Director of LeaderShape Global Limited and looks after finance and a number of other compliance areas. He first experienced LeaderShape’s work in 2004/5 as one of the first participants in a project financed by SEEDA/Finance South East to train mentors to work in Enterprise Hubs. Some years later in 2015 he joined the company in his current role.
Michael graduated with an honours degree in law from the University of Bristol in 1981 before qualifying as an accountant with Thomson McLintock in 1985. Subsequently he spent 19 years working in various finance roles across the property and construction sector, achieving his first Finance Director role in 1988.
In 2004 he set up his own business providing Finance Director services to growing businesses and since then has worked with over 30 businesses ranging from sports coaches, football agents, staffing businesses and lawyers to narrowboat builders, electrical contractors and physiotherapists. His experience covers both UK and international businesses.
In addition to his executive roles Michael has experience working as a non-executive director on both charity and commercial boards. Outside of his mainstream professional interests he is a fellow of the RSA and a member of the Chartered Management Institute.
